Interactive School Programs
Long before the phrase “Hands-on History” became so cliché, the Atlanta Journal & Constitution was referring to Peter Bonner as a “walking, talking history lesson.” Every program begins with Peter’s arrival in period clothing. The fun continues with his outgoing, hilarious take on history and its unique moments, and of course the big, ugly, hand painted trailer filled with enough original and reproduction items to fill eight lunch tables.
But getting students to experience history goes well beyond simply placing items on a table and allowing them to see and touch. Peter Bonner’s Historical & Hysterical Tours presents history using an integrated approach that feeds a student’s desire to feel, touch, inquire, problem-solve, and immerse themselves in the life and times of the people of a bygone era.
Since Peter’s programs cost a fraction of the average off-campus field trip (typically no more than $5 per student), schools are able to have a first class program without the cost of fuel, attraction costs and overall security issues that comes with a trip off-campus. Additionally, Peter’s programs are always free to the teachers, administrators and parent helpers.
For more information, simply click the contact button below and send him an email providing school and contact information. Because you are important to Peter he will personally contact you to answer questions and hopefully book a program for your school or group.
