Colonial Georgia/ Revolutionary WarDressed in his colonial best, Peter will guide the children to compare and contrast his fancy linen clothing with theirs and then compare his to the other groups that played a part in our colonial story. Peter provides mounds of display items, beginning with buckskins and items from the native peoples in Georgia, to slave items, and settlers rich and poor. Uniforms and equipment of the American and British forces including weapons always bring an ooh and aaah from the students as they see the spark from the flintlock rifle the British named, “Brown Bess”. ![]() |
